Hey y’all!  I’m Lauren…just a Texas girl who loves Jesus, BBQ, chips and queso, and my family (in no particular order).

 When I thought I had my life all planned out, my world turned upside down (more than once). In my early 30’s I was diagnosed with a rare disease that added many limitations to daily life. At the age of 38, I became a widow with four teenagers. Thanks be to God and Hinge (it’s a dating app for those who are old school), I met and married an incredible man from South Africa. By the goodness and grace of God, we became a family and added baby number five.

I would love to tell you a Cinderella story – but that’s not life. Life is hard but my God has been so good to me! I cannot wait to take you on my journey of heartache, disappointments and hope.
